Hey there! I'm Benjamin - welcome to my portfolio ☺️

TL;DR
I'm an ML engineer and technical generalist with a background in Industrial Engineering and Management. I build across robotics, machine learning, software, and product development, connecting technical depth with a broad systems perspective.

I've been building things since I was a kid, starting with model trains, which quickly turned into hacking together Arduino circuits and teaching myself to code at the age of 11. Initially, I did this because I wanted to build more realistic miniature worlds while staying within my pocket money budget.

At the same time, I was always curious about how things work - and passionate about making them work even better. That curiosity led me to study Industrial Engineering and Management at KIT, with a focus on AI/ML, robotics, and entrepreneurship. I am now applying that technical foundation to questions that also require a deeper understanding of people and living systems: I have applied to begin a B.Sc. in Psychology at FernUniversität in Hagen in October 2026, and I am learning more about biology, medicine, and computational biology.

I am most motivated by work that advances humanity and expands freedom for as many people as possible. I believe technological progress is one of our strongest levers for doing that - especially progress in AI and robotics, and using those capabilities to accelerate biology, medicine, and other fields.

Most of what I know beyond formal education came from following questions and building things before I knew exactly how. That self-directed path has taken me from electronics, model building, and 3D printing to full-stack software, machine learning, and research. I enjoy crossing disciplinary boundaries and becoming practically useful in unfamiliar areas.

This site is a collection of what's come out of that curiosity to give you a better understanding of who I am and what I do.

I built this site not just to show what I've done, but to give shape to how I think. If you're curious, scroll around. If you want to chat, please (and I genuinely mean it) do not hesitate to reach out! You'll find my contact info here.

P.S. Yes, I know em dashes are cleaner — but then you'd probably think an LLM wrote this (Why?). And well, maybe it did? Anyway, thanks for reading!
