Hey there! I'm Benjamin - welcome to my portfolio ☺️
TL;DR
I'm an AI engineer and technical generalist currently studying Industrial Engineering and Management (M.Sc.) at KIT. I build across web, mobile, backend, and machine learning with a curiosity that spans engineering, design, and systems thinking.
I've been building things since I was a kid, starting with model trains, which quickly turned into hacking together Arduino circuits and teaching myself to code at 11. Initially, I did this because I wanted to build more realistic miniature worlds while staying within my pocket money budget.
At the same time, I was always curious about how things work - and was passionate about making them work even better. Over the years, this curiosity led me to study Industrial Engineering and Management at KIT, where I'm now pursuing my Master's degree. Along the way, I've also been diving deep into all sorts of subjects like web development, CPU architecture, embedded systems, AI, robotics, economics, marketing, and more.
This site is a collection of what's come out of that curiosity so far to give you a better understanding of who I am and what I do.
- In Projects, you'll find notable projects I've worked on in the past - from RAG chatbots, cross-platform mobile apps, backend systems, and fine-tuned LLMs to robotics, published research, and a sound-activated light switch.
- In History, you'll find my academic background, research, and professional experiences.
- In Renderings, you'll find some of my creative side - which started with a YouTube channel and grew into me learning 3d modelling and animation in Blender and graphic design in GIMP.
I built this site not just to show what I've done, but to give shape to how I think. If you're curious, scroll around. If you want to chat, please (and I genuinely mean it) do not hesitate to reach out! You'll find my social links down below.

P.S. Yes, I know em dashes are cleaner — but then you'd probably think an LLM wrote this (Why?). And well, maybe it did? Anyway, thanks for reading!
